Ken Chambers (cq), left, and Waide Hoskins (cq) , right, residents at the Harvest Farm in Wellington, Colorado, clean up on November 28, 2005, after a fire burned and destroyed a barn the day before, November 27, where pigs were kept. About 60 animals were killed. 170 animals were saved. 2 1/2 - 3 thousand bales of hay were burned as well. "It's hard losing our pigs." said Ken Chambers. "We tried getting them out. Luckily, no one really got hurt." Up to 72 men live and work at the 100-acre Harvest Farm, through a Denver Rescue Mission program of the Denver Rescue Mission, and take care of the livestock and crops raised at the farm. While hosing up the hot spots, another resident, Keith Metoxen (cq), said, "I feel terrible. This is our livelihood." he said. "I have faith in God that he works for the good. This will give us a chance to work together as a team." (ELLEN JASKOL/ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS) ***Ken Chambers (cq), Waide Hoskins (cq), Keith Metoxen (cq)
