Former Horizon High School standout and current Connecticut Sun (WNBA) and Colorado Chill (NWBL) player Jamie Carey (cq, left) is timed by Jim Martin (cq, with stop watch) of Sports Potential Inc. during the One Turn Agility Run at the Courtside Club in Los Gatos, Ca. Carey was running through a number of drills while being tested by Menlo Park, Ca. based company Sports Potential Inc. The three year-old company tested 1,000's of U.S. Olympic team athletes to identify skill sets and characteristics that make them successful in about 50 different sports as well as individual positions within sports. Depending on how athletes test out the company recommends particular sports that they should be successful in. The test costs from $175 to $225 and isn't given until at least 13 years of age. Carey played college basketball at Stanford and Texas and tested well for basketball point guard, her position, although it wasn't the top match on her list.
