Patrick Ahlstrom (cq) , TSA Federal Security Director holds up some tools and scissors at DIA Wednesday 21, 2005. that will now be allowed on aircraft. Scissors have to be less than 4 inches from tip to fulcrum, and tools must be less than seven inches. Hammers, drills and saws are not allowed. The new screening procedures and changes to prohibited Items will be implemented on Dec. 22.
