(FOUNTAIN, Co., SHOT 10/1/2004) Fountain-Fort Carson High School senior Charles "Junior" Moody (#43, RB/LB, left), visibly upset after a 19-7 loss to Mitchell, is consoled by teammate Ben Valdez (#22, QB, junior) in the team's locker room after the game. Teammate Charlie Paddock (not pictured) said he and Moody are the only two returning starters from last year's state semifinalist team and added, "neither one of us are very good at losing". As seniors Paddock and Moody didn't want to lose their final Homecoming game. It was a big conference game for Fountain-Fort Carson, who moved up from 3A to 4A this year, and was also the school's homecoming game. The team lacks experience returning only two starters and fell in the game 19-7. Head coach Mitch Johnson explains the teams 1-4 record saying, "the kids don't understand that you can't win every game, only one team walks away a winner".
