(2/23/05, Aspen, CO) The restaurant at the top of the gondola lift in Aspen is very efficient and was one of the first buildings to be built using energy efficient technology. The huge room is heated in part by sun beaming in from huge windows. Katie Donnelly and her family came to ski in Aspen from W. Hartford, Conn. during their winter break. "A Change in the Air" - This is part of a series on climate change and this story is about the likely effects of climate change on the Colorado ski industry. Auden Schendler, director of environmental affairs at Aspen, says the industry will be dead in 50 years unless global emissions of heat-trapping greenhouse gases are cut bigtime.
