(DENVER, Co. - SHOT 3/14/2005) Graland Country Day School second grader E.J. Clark, 7, of Denver looks down the line of beads as he and classmates display the bead chain the students assembled containing 5,852 beads, a new record. The different colored beads each represent a different digit of Pi, which equals approximately 3.14159, and the exercise was intended to make math fun for the kids. The students are hoping their effort will break the current record of 5,401 beads currently held by Esther Dennis Middle School in Dayton, Ohio. (Photo by MARC PISCOTTY/ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS)
