(DENVER, Colo., April 12, 2004) Mr. David Adjaye, architect, London, England was selected and revealed today to design the new permanent home of the Denver Museum of Contemporary Art. He was not present. Cydney (cq Cydney from curator assistant) Payton, Director/Curator of the Museum of Contemporary Art and Karl (cq Karl from curator assistant) Kister, President of the Board of Trustees, together announced the winning architect to design the new home of the museum. The announcement was made this morning at the current MCA home, 1275 19th St. Six architectural firms vied for the commission.
