(Denver, Colo.shot on 3/2/05) Wearing traditional dress, Faduma Mahina (cq) holds her son 10 month old Nastexo Rasulo, (cq) while Asha Rasulo (cq) 2 years comes by to say hello. Somali Bantu refugee women and their children go to Whiteman Elementary school to learn English and parenting skills. The program was setup in a cooperative effort with the school, Emily Griffth Opportunity School and the African Community Center. This is all a part of programs aimed to help these refugees as they adjust to living in America. (Linda McConnell/Rocky Mountain News) (these names were hand written by the people)
