(Denver, Colo.shot on 3/2/05) Wearing their traditional dress, Bantu Somali women and their children go to Whiteman Elementary school to learn English and parenting skills this is all a part of programs aimed to help these refugees as they adjust to living in America. For many students at this school the brief glance at these women is a look into other cultures. The program was setup in a cooperative effort with the school, Emily Griffth Opportunity School and the African Community Center. (Linda McConnell/Rocky Mountain News)
