(3/2/05, Westminster, CO) A wrongful death lawsuit was filed today by Kim and Michael Samsel whose disabled 16-year-old son, Nathaniel, died after caregivers in an Act For Health respite care home failed to change his breathing tube. He had been cared for by his family for his 16 years, but his mom had a seizure and in the process, was critically injured and was unable to care for him. He was placed temporarily in the respite care home and was only there two days before he died. Kim looks at photos of Nathaniel with her husband Michael and her two grandsons, Kane Garcia, 5, and his brother Dezmond, 3. (PHOTO BY JUDY WALGREN, ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS)
