(02/15/2005, Denver, CO) Getting ready at the Colorado Convention Center for the NBA Allstars Game includes laying down the 7000 square foot maple hardwood floor made by Horner, in Michigan. The same company, who has been making the NBA Allstar Game floors for 20 years, also made the floor for the Pepsi Center, Denver University and the Coliseum here in Denver. The NBA leases the floor from Horner, then after the event, they will sand the floors down and use them again for something else. Bill Gappy came down from Michigan to supervise the installation. Stagehand union worker Tanner Lukrafka and his co-workers fit together one of the floor panels. (Judy Walgren, Rocky Mountain News)
