On Wednesday, November 2, 2004, detectives from the West Metro Drug Task Force arrested two men that had been supplying marijuana to high school students in Jefferson County. The arrests took place at the Wal-Mart store located at 440 Wadsworth Blvd. in Lakewood. During a previous investigation, task force detectives learned about Jonathan D. Stone (DOB 04-25-82) and Ryan C. Madama (OB 11-17-82). Both suspects were thought to be a source for some high-grade marijuana that had been seized from local teenagers. Detectives arranged to purchase a large quantity of the illegal substance from Stone and Madama. The suspects arrived at the Wal-Mart store with more than 10 pounds of marijuana packaged in 10 bags. The asking price was $42,000. No weapons or substantial amount of cash were found with the suspects.
