Kaylana Hsia (cq), 7, of Flagstaff, AZ (shown in the photo...) sang a song next to her sister Jasmine Hsia (cq), 9, (hands only...) before the Ven. Thich Nhat Hanh took his place on the stage and began his teachings August 30, 2005. The Vietnamese Buddhist monk, poet, scholar, peace activist and one of the best known Buddhist teachers living today, came to Colorado to lead a mindfulness retreat at the YMCA of the Rockies in Estes Park. He will also present an evening talk entitled "Nurturing Togetherness and Peace in a World of Fear and Separation," at 7 p.m. Sept. 6, at the Buell Theater in Denver.
