For the first time in recent history in Colorado, USCIS will award a posthumous naturalization certificate to a Marine who died in Iraq. Lance Corporal Evenor Herrera will be honored with citizenship. His mother and stepfather, Blanca and David Stibbs, will be onhand to accept the certificate. Herrera, 22, a citizen of Honduras, fell victim to an improvised explosive device at Ar Ramadi on August 10.
