Colorado National Guardsman LT. Garret Rasnick (CQ), of Colorado Springs, is careful walking over graves while clearing tree limbs from Chalmette National Cemetery in St. Bernard Parish, LA, Tuesday September 13, 2005. The men were extremely careful not to further damage the headstones, which have already survived several hurricanes. The debris was a result from Hurricane Katrina wrath. The cemetery, which was established in 1864, is the final resting place for veterans who fought in the war of 1812, Union Soldiers who died in Louisiana during the Civil War, Spanish-American War, WWI, WWII, and Vietnam.
