The Equilibrium Theatre Company of VSA North Fourth Art Center in Alburquerque, New Mexico, performed "Side Show Play" at the Dairy Center for the Arts in Boulder on August 26, 2005, for members of the C.O.R.E. (Community Opportunities Relationships Education) Innovations Day Program, a program serving adults with developmental disabilities in Boulder County through Imagine!, a local non-profit that provides services to people with cognitive disabilities and their families. The play was written by Lou Clark, who developed the theme around the writings of the 8 disabled people who are part of the 12 person company. After the half an hour performance, the troupe held an acting workshop for the audience members. Emily Hoffman (cq), 29, a member of the Equilibirum Theatre Company performs the word 'happy' with her acting partner Lodan Tanzin (cq), 18, a resident counselor at the Iris House in Boulder for Imagine!. The New Mexican group is in town to also perform in the Boulder Fringe Festival.
