Sharletta Evans (cq) known as "Miss Bunny" by the children she mentors, leads children in prayer at the end of an outing in Moorhead Park July 28, 2005, in Aurora, during one of her gang prevention classes she founded two years ago. Her son, Casson Evans was killed by gang members in a drive-by shooting December 21, 1995 when he was only three years old. Crippled by her grief for eight years she finally decided to dedicate herself to gang prevention, now mentoring scores of young children four to sixteen years old. " This is how I honor my son and my God." she says. (DENNIS SCHROEDER / ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS) **Sharletta Evans (cq)
