A baby Humboldt Penguin waits for it's breakfast of smelt and herring to be feed to it by Zoo Keeper, Jessica Meehan, cq, 24, while sitting in a brooder in the bird house's incubator room on Thursday, August 25, 2005. The baby Humboldt Penguin born on July 19th is one of two new baby Humboldt Penguin chicks at the Zoo. Zoo keepers are raising this one by hand after the egg was discarded by it's mother a couple of weeks prior to hatching. The other is being raised by it's natural parents. This penguin (unknown sex) has not been named yet. The chicks eats nearly 10 percent of its' own body weight during at each meal.
