(SANTA FE, N.M., SHOT 7/16//2004) Tony Oursler's "Softy" sculpture seemingly checks out SITE Santa Fe's Education Coordinator Rosanne Kadis of Santa Fe as she keeps an eye on the art on display during the Patron's Preview Party Friday evening. Oursler's piece is a talking sculpture with a projected image on it. SITE Santa Fe, a biennial modern art exhibition in Santa Fe, N.M., selected critic/curator Robert Storr to organize its Fifth International Biennial Exhibition. The show will be on display from July 18, 2004 until January 9, 2005 and will showcase about 100 works in various media all focusing on the theme of the grotesque in modern art. The title of this year's show is "Disparities and Deformations : Our Grotesque" and it featured about 60 artists from around the world. (Photo by MARC PISCOTTY/ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS)
