Nineteen year-old Jennifer Borders (cq) of Montrose pauses to think in the apartment of a friend where she is staying temporarily while looking for a new place to live. Borders claims that Robert Gocha, her former boyfriend and father of her daughter (Kayla), was bragging to friends at a gas station in town about how he was planning on killing Kevin Hale with a metal pipe. Twenty-four-year-old Todd Fiske and 21-year-old Adam Hernandez, both of Montrose, have been charged in the death of Kevin Hale, a local gay man in small Colorado town. They have been charged with first-degree murder in the death of the 36-year-old Montrose man. His body was found in Buckley Park on July 29, 2005 and family and friends believe Hale was killed because he was gay. Borders said Gocha left town abruptly on July 30 and hasn't heard from him since. She said she thinks Gocha planned the attack. (MARC PISCOTTY/ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS) CQ Jennifer Borders
