On July 24, 2005, Aurora police investigated four separate incidents involving the burglaries or attempted burglaries of pharmacies. The suspect was successful in two cases where he forced his way into the pharmacies by defeating the locking mechanisms. The Pharmacies are at the Walgreens stores, located at 18461 E. Hampden Avenue and at 2727 S. Parker Road. The suspect also attempted (without success) to break into the pharmacies at the Safeway store located at 18730 E. Hampden Avenue, and at the Walgreens store located at 15301 E. Mississippi Avenue. Aurora Detectives believe that the suspect enters the stores during business hours, but after the pharmacies have closed, at which time he breaks in. The evidence suggests that the suspect only steals name brand prescription drugs such as, Zolof, Oxycontin, Viagra and Vicodin to name a few. To date, in the Aurora burglaries, the suspect has stolen pharmaceuticals that have a combined value exceeding $78, 000.00. Investigators have reason to believe that the same suspect may be involved in similar burglaries in Arapahoe County, Jefferson County and in the City of Lakewood.
