(FORT CARSON, Colo., February 1, 2005) Pfc. Ryan Healy, holding microphone, has nearly finished reading when his son Nicholas, 19 months, decides to get a little impatient in the arms of his mom Dawn Healy. Their daughter Ashley Tackett,10, is legs only, left of frame but was part of the recording session. Singing at the Family Readiness Center, on base, is becoming common for the moment. Operation Story Time is allowing potentially deploying troops to bring family or just a prefered reading book and get a recording of them reading so the loved ones left behind can listen to or read along with the one who is gone and make them feel closer. A group of families took part this evening each getting about 15 minutes to make a memory or two. (Photo by: STEVEN R NICKERSON)
