(BORMIO, Italy - Shot 2/3/2005) Lasse Kjus of Norway flies over the final jump during his downhill run Thursday in Bormio, Italy. The Men's Combined Downhill event of the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships took place Thursday in Bormio, Italy on the Pista Stelvio. Heavily favored American Bode Miller lost a ski on the downhill portion of the event and wasn't able to finish the race, although he did try to ski most of the way down on one ski. Kjus finished 11th in the downhill portion with a time of 1:53.76, two seconds off the leader's pace. (Photo by MARC PISCOTTY / ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS)
