(BORMIO, Italy - Shot 2/3/2005) Heavily-favored American skiier Bode Miller falls while trying to make his way down the Pista Stelvio downhill course Thursday on one ski after losing the other one earlier in the run in Bormio, Italy. He did not finish the race. The Men's Combined Downhill event of the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships took place Thursday in Bormio, Italy on the Pista Stelvio. Heavily favored American Bode Miller lost a ski on the downhill portion of the event and wasn't able to finish the race, although he did try to ski most of the way down on one ski.
