(LOVELAND, Colo., February 2, 2005) (The first four people, left to right, are identified, two left, two right) Nellie Lesser, left in black sweater, Mary Ann Long, next up from left beside Nellie, smiling with glasses, head back having a good time, across from Mary Ann is Dorothy DeVore, second up from right in red sweater sitting next to Jim Parrott (cq Parrott from himself and his i.d. card in addition) far right of frame. All four work with others stamping envelopes. The Loveland Chamber of Commerce is holding its 59th annual remailing program allowing for new cachet (this is a sticker adhered separately from the stamp there also is a stamp with the same rendition) and hand canceled Valentine stamps (separate from postage fee mailing stamps) to be placed on envelopes for loved ones around the world. From January 31, 2005 through February 14, 2005 approximately 40, on average, seniors gather to accomplish the sometimes daunting task. This day estimates were only a couple thousand cards but 220,000, approximately, were remailed last year with over 10 million going out since the inception in 1946. All information according to workers at the Chamber of Commerce, 5400 Stone Creek Circle #200, 1-970-667-6311 or Gaye Stockman, President/CEO-cell-1-970-290-6566) (Photo by: STEVEN R NICKERSON)
