(BORMIO, Italy - Shot 2/10/2005) U.S. skiier Daron Rahlves (left, #16) congratulates Austrian skiier Hermann Maier (#7) after Maier won the Men's Giant Slalom at the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships in Bormio, Italy on Thursday. U.S. favorite Bode Miller fell on his first run knocking him out of the race but teammate Rahlves had been atop the field after a strong first run. Rahlves ended up finishing third in the race with a two run total time of 2:51.09. Maier won the race with a two-run time of 2:50.41. (Photo by MARC PISCOTTY / ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS)
