(BORMIO, Italy - Shot 2/10/2005) U.S. skiier Erik Schlopy (#14) carves around a gate during the Men's Giant Slalom at the FIS Alpine World Ski Championships on the Pista Stelvio course in Bormio, Italy on Thursday. Schlopy finished 17th in the race with a two run time of 2:54.06. U.S. favorite Bode Miller fell on his first run knocking him out of the race but teammate Daron Rahlves put in a strong first run and ended up finishing third in the race with a two run total time of 2:51.09.
