(1/25/05, Pondicherry, India) Kitty Potter takes a moment to reflect on the past ten days during a walk on the beach on her lunch break. She said, "I don't think I will ever look at the ocean in the same way again after this experience. I wonder why. Why did all of those people have to die. I can not believe that one wave could be that big and have that much power and kill that many people. And yet right now, this feels like Heaven here. You can just forget how much destruction is just 100 yards away." And when asked how she was feeling strength wise she said, "I won't feel tired until I get home. Until then, this is what I am here to do and I will just push on." The Dalit Freedom Network group went to Thammanampettai where they held their last full day medical camp. The beach is much lower then village, so thankfully no one was killed, but there were a lot of injuries. (Judy Walgren, Rocky Mountain News)
