[Denver, CO - Shot on: 1/28/05] “This is kind of a shock, I don’t know what to think right now,” says Tim Szofran (left) shortly after kissing his bride to be Kristin Dunn (right) after she had contrived and executed an elaborate marriage proposal that consisted of hundreds of carnations, a half a dozen TV cameras, 20-plus accomplices and the help of the Denver Botanic Gardens and Korbel Champagne which brought the couple to Denver from Boise, Idaho for the scheme. Dunn decide to propose to Szofran after entering and winning the Korbel Perfect Proposal Contest that Dunn had read about in GQ magazine. Szofran accepted with a long kiss in the amphitheater at the Botanic Gardens Friday January 28, 2005. The two met last year in class at the Boise State University School of Horticulture. It was in a Korbel survey which found that 64 percent of men would accept a marriage proposal from a woman and only 31 percent of female respondents would propose to a man. This couple certainly make these percentages.(Photo by BARRY GUTIERREZ/ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS)
