Debbie Miller (cq) uses an electric device to help ger her son Brian Miller (cq) out of his bed and into a shower chair. At 6'3", Brian is way too heavy for her to move by herself. She has struggled since Brian had a horrible motocross accident eight and a half years to get, in her opinion, proper care for him. He is on Medicaid and she has had to learn the ins and outs of working through a system that leads many down the road to failure. Nevertheless, the Miller's have both survived the ordeal and Debbie has been able to get the Medicaid funds sent directly to her to pay for the healthcare Brian is receiving through a program called Consumer Directed Accounts. This system allows Debbie to have funds at her disposal to pay for healthcare, rather then having to go through different healthcare agencies that she and others say are corrupt and vindictive when they receive criticism.
