A light dusting of snow covers the ground near Silverthorne as aspen, still in full fall color, stand in stark contrast to the first signs of winter. A cold front moving through the state dropped temperatures 35 or more degrees yesterday causing an abrupt end to fall as rain quickly turned toi snow in the high country and covering the grouind with a light dusting of snow.
