Colorado National Guardsman PV2 Bryan Lyon (CQ), of Arvada, takes a few minutes to rest on a downed tree in Chalmette National Cemetery in St. Bernard Parish, LA, Tuesday September 13, 2005. Lyon, and fellow guardsmen had wanted to pay their respect to fellow soldiers by cleaning downed trees that had fallen over the graves. The debris was a result from Hurricane Katrina wrath. The cemetery, which was established in 1864, is the final resting place for veterans who fought in the war of 1812, Union Soldiers who died in Louisiana during the Civil War, Spanish-American War, WWI, WWII, and Vietnam.
