While she sits on her couch in her home in Golden, Colorado on August 19, 2005, Karen Trietsch (cq) chokes up as she thinks about what she will be taking in her heart when she leaves for Crawford, Texas at 8 a.m. Saturday morning (August 20th). She said that she will take grief with her, grief for the families and friends who have lots loved ones in the war, grief for the people in Iraq who have lost loved ones, as well. She will be driving from Golden, Colorado, to Crawford, Texas, with twelve other people (as of 2 p.m. August 19, 2005 - the number is growing) to give support to Cindy Sheehan, the mother of Casey Sheehan, who was killed in Iraq. She has been camped outside George Bush's ranch for as long as he has been there on vacation, although she had to go to Los Angeles to be with her mother who had a stroke. Her intention is to return to Crawford as soon as her mother's condition has stabilized. In the meantime, supporters will carry on the vigil. (JUDY DEHAAS/ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS) Karen Trietsch (cq)
