Bruce Randolph Middle School, which opened in 2002, was one of Denver Public School's most poorly performing schools. The district has "redesigned" the school and new principal Kristin Waters (cq, left center in polka dot dress), who used to run one of DPS' best-performing middle schools, has hand-picked her staff and program to make it work. The program called Challenge 2010 is aiming for a 100% graduation rate. Waters was helping students who didn't have all their paperwork ready as school started for the year Monday August 15, 2005.
