Byron Wood (cq) of Aurora, holds his son's dog, T-Bone, a pit bull, in the parking lot outside the Aurora City Council before the council meets to listens to pit bull advocates present their case on August 9, 2005 to prevent the council from voting for a pit bull ban. "I disagree with it (the ban) totally." said Byron. "A dog is innocent until he does something. I think it's irresponsible owners." Dogs weren't allowed into the building, so Byron didn't stay. The woman petting the dog (arm only!) is Diana Everman (cq) of Aurora, whose daughter, Kristee Webb (cq), also of Aurora, owns two pitbulls, "I'm the grandma!" Diana says. "The council needs to educate themselves on the breed. It's just not right." Behind Byron is his son, Ehren (cq), 9. (he's holding the dog's leg cast, that just fell off. the dog was hit by a car a week ago. not relevant to story. ) (ELLEN JASKOL/ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS) ***Byron Wood (cq), Ehren Wood (Cq), Diana Everman (cq)
