Jerry Rigney (blue) (cq), an El Paso County Hazmat Technician (among other things) and Cindy Corsaro (cq) (yellow), the El Paso County Homeland Security Programs Coordinator pose for a portrait wearing fully encapsulated suits, which have air packs inside equipped with face masks, as well as chemical resistant boots and gloves. Jerry is sitting on an over pack for a 55 gallon drum and holding a Ray Photo Ionization Detector which measures toxins in the air. Cindy is holding a Radiation Detector which is geared towards detecting WMD agents such as mustard or sarin gas, as well as radiation. Together, all of the equipment is worth around $28,000 and was acquired through grants from the Homeland Security funds. (JUDY WALGREN/THE ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS) Jerry Rigney (cq), Cindy Corsaro (cq)
