Richard Holm, top right, with 7 of his 17 children at his ranch in Utah. He used to belong to the Fundamentalist Church of Jesus Christ Latter Day Saints (FLDS), a polygamist community, but in 2003 was abruptly kicked out by the leader, Warren Jeffs. He was told to leave his 2 wives and 17 children, who were soon after given to one of Holm's brothers. Holm has visitation rights with his kids, 7 of whom he spent time with on June 1, 2005. Left to right: Nicole, 14 (blue collar), Tawni, 16, Brian, 11, Justin, 7 (green shirt), Ryan, 11, front center (black pants), Richard (their dad), Logan, 4 (green plaid), and Karmyn, 9 (green dress). They are conflicted with getting their photo taken, because FLDS teachings tell them to stay away from the outside world, including the media. Their dad, Richard, however, tells them it's okay to be photographed, and so they comply, but some hide their face or look away.
