The Kobobel family of Wiggins, Colo. rely on wells for irrigation and have been cut back to 40 percent of their usual water supply. The state feels the wells used for crop irrigation are draining the underground sources that supply the Platte River. Glen Kobobel (cq) ,and Elmer Kobobel (cq) and Larry Kobobel (cq) are growing only about half the normal amount of corn and wheat this year because of the water restrictions.
