Louise Elinoff (cq, center) uses a GPS to establish a position while mapping out an effigy near Walden while working with University of Northern Colorado students Jenean Roberts (cq, far right) and Christy Chady (cq, far left) one afternoon. Elinoff is a PHD grad student at Stanford and will be working on a dissertation about the sites near Walden. The University of Northern Colorado archaeology field school is excavating and documenting an approximately 10,000 year-old Paleoindian site where arrow points and stone hunting blinds have been discovered . They were excavating short-term summer camps near Walden, Co. that were used by these nomadic hunter-gatherers on Tuesday June 7, 2005.
