William Hosier (cq), 17, of Thornton, a lifeguard at Six Flags Elitch Gardens, keeps himself amused by splashing people as they float by on the Lazy River ride on July 20, 2005. They usually splash back. He's been a lifeguard at Elitch's since June, "I lucked out." he says. His last job was at a fast food restaurant, cooking and cashiering. He likes this job better, "It's really fun, always meeting new people, always getting wet." Another lifeguard, Jeremy Lynch, (cq), 17, of Denver, helps people load into tubes at the top of Arrowhead Splashdown, with a 360 degree view of downtown Denver to the east, and the mountains to the west, and the hot sun overhead, "When it's really hot, sometimes it's annoying, but then you have the water and then you have the people and you can splash everyone and splash yourself and have fun. Especially on a hot day. Everyone likes the water." (ELLEN JASKOL/ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS) ***William Hosier (cq), Jeremy Lynch (cq)
