Northbound Sante Fe A exiting onto southbound I-25 in Denver is closed and is listed in a new report that quantifies the cost of substandard roads to Colorado motorists and identifies 50 segments of "Heartburn Highways" in the state. The report, "Heartburn Highways: The Cost to Motorists of Traffic Congestion, Traffic Crashes and Deteriorated Pavements and the 50 Roads and Highways in Colorado that Cause Drivers the Most Stress," finds that substandard roads cost each Denver driver nearly $1,600 because of traffic crashes, lost time and fuel and wear and tear on their vehicles.
