(Denver, Colorado, 11/11/2005) Ethel Rogers (cq), 92, from Arvada, was a member of WAC and served in the Army Post Office in the Seattle Port during WWII ('44-'46). During a program commemorating Veteran's Day, she saluted the American flag as it was raised in the Riverside Cemetery. This cemetery is Denver's oldest military cemetery dating back to Civil War veterans. The ceremony concluded with the playing of Taps on 11/11 that ended exactly at 11 am, the time made famous in 1918 as the exact conclusion time of WWI.
