Marion and Josh Greene (cq) of Denver reach the summit of Grays Peak (14,270 feet) Sunday with their dog, Bella. Labor Day weekend brought out hikers eager to bag a Fourteener. Although the 4-mile trail to the 14, 270-foot summit is considered less difficult than most of Colorado's 54 Fourteeners, it's still demanding. The mountain, 40 miles west of Denver off Interstate 70, is named after 19th century botanist Asa Gray. For Summer Escapes RMN photo by Sonya Doctorian. 9/6/05
