Laura Schulz (cq) 47, a former Rocky Flats engineer who worked there for over 16 years, raises her arms in frustration' " I've had three cancers, I want to know why I have this. I want to know how long I have to live!" she said. Schulz joined hundreds of former Rocky Flats workers and spouses of former Rocky Flats workers at the Arvada Center Monday evening, November 7, 2005, to meet with representatives from the U.S. Dept. of Labor to discuss the status of claims filed for cancers and illnesses caused by radiation, beryllium, plutonium and other toxic chemicals, workers at the former Rocky Flats were exposed to while on the job. " What's important is that people get the help they need to keep alive. I'm tired, I can't fight the system any longer . I need help! I want them to know all of our faces!' she said.
