Pomona High School principal Dan Cohan (cq, center) talks with a few students between classes one afternoon. The district switched administration at the school and it is Cohan's first year as principal. A task force of eight retired school teachers and administrators is spending a week at Pomona High School observing, talking with teachers, students and parents and making recommendations on how to raise CSAP scores to make sure the school is meeting the nationwide "No Child Left Behind" standard. Overall, CSAP scores at the school are pretty high but minority groups at the school lag behind and the school will ultimately be judged on its ability to raise the CSAP scores of such groups. If the school fails to raise its CSAP scores this next time around it will most likely lose its accreditation. (MARC PISCOTTY/ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS) CQ Dan Cohan
