Spc. Scott Mullen, 22, stationed at Fort Bragg, N.C., died Oct. 14 after a non-combat related accident Oct. 13 while deployed to the Philippines in support of the Global War on Terrorism. Mullen, a psychological operations specialist, assigned to the 5th Battalion, 4th Psychological Operations Group, U. S. Army Civil Affairs and Psychological Operations Command, died from head injuries sustained from a fall. The accident is under investigation. Mullen, a native of Tucson, Ariz., was at a local shopping mall near Manila, Philippines, when he fell from an escalator. He was immediately rushed to Makati Medical Center, Manila, Philippines, where he received emergency medical treatment. Mullen is survived by his mother and father, Wanda and Harold, of Bayfield, Colo.; and his brother, Carl, of Fort Sill, Okla.
