(5/13/05, Denver, Colorado) Friday morning, May 13, 2005, Denver mourned for slain Denver Police Detective Donald Young in and around the Cathedral Basilica of the Immaculate Conception. The funeral lasted about an hour and a half and they were expecting around 3000 people. Colfax was closed from Pearl to Broadway starting at 9 a.m. and a Jumbotron was set up at the corner of Colfax and Logan for overflow crowd. Donald's wife Kelly is consoled by Denver Police Chief Gerry Whitman and Mayor John Hickenlooper as she prepares to walk into the church. Her daughter Kelsey, 5 is to the right.
