Rich Hatch (cq) of Santa Rosa, Ca. peers out from between the body and head of the bear being erected in front of the Colorado Convention Center. Workers put the finishing touches on the bear by attaching the head to the body Wednesday June 22, 2005 on a 40 foot tall, 10,000 pound polymer concrete blue bear that peers into the front window of the Colorado Convention Center. The bear is the work of Denver artist Lawrence Argent and is titled "I See What You Mean". It took Argent and his crew two days to assemble the six pieces that make up the body and head of the bear. Hatch works for Kreysler and Associates, a California fabrication company. (MARC PISCOTTY/ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS) CQ Rich Hatch
