State Treasurer Mike Coffman (left) gathers up his belongings as he gets ready to leave his office Friday as his dog "Buckley", a Golden Retriever, lies on the floor. Coffman put in his last day at the office Friday June 3, 2005 as he prepares to head off to Iraq as part of a Civil Affairs Unit in the U.S. Marines charged with the difficult task of helping the Iraqi people build a government. Coffman is part of a group of about 150 current and former military and government officials making the trip to some of the most dangerous parts of Iraq. Coffman said "Buckley" seems to "know something is up" and will continue to come into the office while he is away for nine months. Saying goodbye were staff members Natli VanDerWerken (center right) and Curtis Wackerle (far right). (MARC PISCOTTY / ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS) CQ Natli VanDerWerken and Curtis Wackerle
