The Commerce City 40th Annual Memorial Day Parade was held on May 30, 2005 and at least 8000 people were expected to watch it, making it Colorado's largest Memorial Day Parade. The weather was chilly, but that did not keep the people away. Students involved in Interact, a community service group out of Adams City High School, carried a huge American flag in the beginning of the parade. (JUDY WALGREN/ROCKY MOUNTAIN NEWS)
